BIShop James & Rev. Lillian Turnipseed
Servant's heart. Lovers of the Word. Faithful.
The Turnipseeds have served as senior pastors at Beacon Avenue Church of God for nearly 30 years. Their unwavering dedication as leaders, teachers and friends to the Providence community have led many to know God and serve Him faithfully.
Bishop Turnipseed ministers throughout Rhode Island Correctional Institutions serving as a chaplain to inmates and staff. Rev. Turnipseed, a former English teacher, now trains leaders through the Church of God Ministerial Internship Program.
They have been married ?? years. They are parents to five children and grandparents to five boys.

In adherence to Matthew 28:19-20 the Beacon Avenue Church of God is dedicated to the mission of winning souls, discipling new converts, equipping the saints for ministry, ministering to our community in love and glorifying God in word and in deed in the spirit and power of Pentecost.
